Million holiday days went unused. Taking holiday days has been demonstrated to improve work productivity, enhance physical and mental health, enhance relationships and improve your chance of getting a raise.   With regard to Plan Your Vacation Day January 30th, we’re here to inform you of some excellent Utah Valley experiences you might enjoy in 2018.

Ride the 89

The US Route 89 was called America’s most scenic road excursion. This course goes all of the way in the Mexican to Canadian boundaries, but we may be a little biased when we state some of our favorite scenery lies inside of Utah County. Coming in the south, the Utah County portion of the US 89 begins just north of Indianola. As you head north, it   will connect up using US-6 in Spanish Fork Canyon   become Main Street and State Street while traveling via different cities until it joins around I-15 as you go to Salt Lake.   The complete Utah County Route is approximately 55 kilometers and could take you about an hour or so to push in a straight shooter, but we propose stopping to explore.   While you’re in the area   check out Thistle, a ghost town that was severely flooded in the 1980’s, and also   see some of the deserted buildings that are still standing. Spanish Fork Canyon is a gorgeous scenic drive and a must see in the autumn when the colors vary. As you depart the canyon you’ll enter the populated regions of Utah County. We propose stopping to have a look at some of the historical main streets along the way. If you run in the summer, it is likely that you’ll hit one of those numerous city festivals, such as    Art City Days, The Freedom Festival, Strawberry Days  and the Lehi Round-Up . The city festivals are the highlights of the year for many, with all PRCA Rodeo’s, carnivals, fireworks, races and a great deal of family friendly entertainment! You’ll discover a lot  of campgrounds along this route, therefore adding an additional day or two to your itinerary is  easily done.

Temple Road Trip

For several LDS travelers, they have made it a bucket list thing to hit all of the LDS temples in the United States.   No list could be complete without seeing Utah County! We have teamed up with @TempleRoadTrip to assist you reach your objectives. @TempleRoadTrip is sponsoring a plan to visit 18 Temples in 2018. They have created a Utah Temple poster and stickers for each of these 18 Utah LDS temples. Each time you go to a temple you mark it with a decal. Share your advancement on Instagram using @TemplerRoadTrip and you might win prizes! We take a few of these poster/sticker places in our Visitor Center in Provo. Come and grab your sheet. Do not forget to check off all of the LDS temples in our area while you’re here.

If you’re interested in keeping with all the Temple theme but broadening your horizons, then we suggest seeing the Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork. This temple is amazing and offers tours daily from 10 AM to 7 PM. While they host numerous events throughout the year, their Holi Festival of Colors in March is a can not-miss encounter.

Themed Foodie Scavenger Hunt

One of the best parts of vacationing is always trying new or different cuisine! Why don’t you plan a themed food scavenger hunt in Utah County?   Food paths are a popular means to experience a destination, and Utah County has a great deal of unique eateries waiting to delight your taste buds. A themed night of top rated cupcake shops according to yelp testimonials is perfect for the sweet tooth traveler.   Or perform your own version of a worth-it event, where you find the most expensive pizza and most affordable pizza in the valley and choose which gives you the most bang for your dollar. One of our favorites is a hamburger drive-inn scavenger hunt.   Utah County has a lot of small city hamburger stops, like Ripple’s or even the Santa Queen,  who are great to cease at after a day of adventures. But if your goal is to try  all of them, you’ll really should remain a couple of days!
